PAIR OF VERY SWEET, HANDSOME BEST FRIEND BOYS SEEKING HOME TOGETHER

Hello friends! My name is George, and I'm here with my best friend and bonded buddy Creamsicle. We are inseparable pals who take great comfort and find great happiness in each others' company so we're looking for a special purrson (or purrsons) with a heart big enough to adopt both of us.

It may sound like a tall order, but bringing a pair of bonded feline friends into your home is a genuinely unique experience - it's rewarding. Very much so!

Our story begins like so many others - in the Great Outdoors. We're not sure how we got there or why it became necessary for us to fend for ourselves, but luckily we were together. A kind person brought us to a shelter, but the shelter was overflowing.

The shelter put out the call to King Street Cats and said that two lovely boys, a pair of best friends, would make excellent family members - but needed to find temporary homes immediately because of overcrowding at the shelter.  King Street Cats welcomed us into the family knowing that they could help us find the forever home we deserve.

We are both about four (4) years old, which is a wonderful adoption age. We're both quiet, gentle, very sweet, and want very much to be friends with you. Creamsicle is shy right now, and I'm his role model and hero. He feels comfortable with me. He watches me and sees who I trust. Then he'll decide to trust that purrson too.

We are have short, plush silky fur and bright, expressive eyes. Creamsicle a creamsicle colored boy with a lovely white tuxedo and matching paws. I am a silvery boy with a snowy white tuxedo and an adorable face. We are both quite handsome!

We'd love to settle into a quiet, loving home where we could acclimate at our own pace and enjoy soft compliments and praise when we discover new rooms and spaces. We'd like to come and see what you're up to and spend time with you before we go back to napping and playing together.

One of the nicest parts about adopting two bonded cats is the fact that we will provide each other with play, exercise, entertainment, and for those times when you need to be off doing human things, we'll comfort each other so you don't have to worry about us.

We received thorough medical checkups. It was discovered that we are both FIV+, which means that we both have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus in our systems. It doesn't mean that we're sick, and we are not contagious. It means that at some point while we were fending for ourselves outdoors we were each attacked by an FIV+ cat who inflicted deep-puncture bite wounds. (we did not attack each other!)

Being FIV positive doesn't make us any less wonderful.

Here are some facts about FIV:

  • FIV is not the same as Feline AIDS.
  • It is not the same as the human forms of HIV or AIDS.
  • Humans cannot catch it. Dogs cannot catch it.
  • An FIV+ cat does not necessarily develop Feline AIDS.
  • FIV can only be spread from one cat to another cat through deep-puncture bite wounds.
  • Our care requirements are no different from what any cat lover does for his or her cat companions.

Here's what I'll need in terms of care:

  • I'll need you to feed me a high quality diet (preferably a grain-free, high-protein canned/wet food);
  • I'll need you to come to know my behaviors so that you can notice changes that may be health-related;
  • I'll need you to develop a good working relationship with a veterinarian who is current on FIV issues, and seek that veterinarian's assistance if you notice any changes in my behavior;
  • I'll need you to provide me with regular veterinary care;
  • I'll need you to keep me indoors so that I am not exposed to feral cats or wild animals.

That's all. Wouldn't you do that for any kitty? We thought so!

Please, pretty please, make an appointment to meet us! Our friends here at King Street Cats will handle the details and answer any questions you may have.

Just send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for us, George and Creamsicle. We are two wonderful boys who will make wonderful family members, and we can't wait to go home!

Hopefully yours,
George and Creamsicle
