BEAUTIFUL SNOWY WHITE YOUNG SIBLINGS ARE BOTH PLAYFUL SWEETHEARTS
Hello friends! My name is Duchess, and I'm here with my brother and bonded best friend Snow. We are a pair of exceptionally lovely youngsters in search of a forever home together where we'll be loved and cherished for the sweethearted, affectionate and playful kitties that we are. We came to King Street Cats from a shelter where we'd been given up by our people because we have very minor skin allergies that are easily controlled with medication. We can't understand why that had to happen, but we are both happy to be here at KSC where we're happily playing and impressing our new volunteer friends with our friendly purrsonalities.
We are each one (1) year old, having celebrated our first birthday together in April 2016. We've both got short, silky snowy white fur, pastel pink noses and bright golden eyes. Our minor skin allergies are easily controlled with medication - our volunteer friends can answer your questions about that when you inquire about us.
My brother Snow has a very mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, or "CH." This is a non-life threatening, non-contagious, non-progressive condition where the part of the brain that controls movement and fine motor control isn't fully mature at birth. CH kitties are often known as "wobbly kitties" because they may exhibit uncoordinated (though not harmful) walking behavior. Snow is not like that - he's more of an "awkward" kitty than a "wobbly kitty." His condition will never get worse (in fact some cats show modest improvements once they've securely settled into loving homes) and does not impact his health or lifespan. Would you believe that CH kitties are very popular adoptees? Many forever families who are knowledgeable about CH find our locomotive quirks charming.
We are a playful pair and we're having a lot of fun playing hide and seek and discivering new things here at KSC. You can see us being silly in one of the kitty condos. We both love humans and we both love to give and receive affection. We have gentle, sweet dispositions and our new staff friends love us very much. Everyone who's met us knows that we're going to make a wonderful addition to a lucky person or family.
In case you haven't heard, there are benefits to adopting two bonded cats. We serve as each other's playmates. We provide each other with important exercise and same-species behavioral modification. We groom each other. We comfort each other. We entertain one another. We cuddle. We take care of one another so that you don't have to worry so much when you have to be away from us doing the important human things that you humans have to do. We'll be waiting to greet you when you get home!
Please come to meet us. We can't wait to find a home -forever. It's easy to get started. Send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for Duchess and Snow, the snowy white pair of sweeties. Feel free to ask any questions you have about our mild skin allergies or Snow's mild case of CH. We can't wait to meet you.
Happily yours,
Duchess (with Snow)
