LOOKING FOR A DEVOTED, PEOPLE-LOVING LOVE BUG? MEET JONAH.

Hello friends! My name is Jonah. One morning in April 2015 the wonderful volunteers at King Street Cats showed up in the morning to take care of our cat family and what did they find? Three cat carriers sitting on the doorstep. I was in one carrier. My friend Ophelia was in another carrier, and our friend Hamlet was in the third carrier. Each of our carriers were labeled with our names. 

I wish I could tell you more, but what I can tell you is this: it's obvious that I was a much-loved housecat and family companion - and I want more than anything to be that again.

My new friends here at KSC know me to be a mellow, gentle, friendly, people-loving boy who comes to greet them, rub against them (you know, claiming them as my own) and give big warm purrs in exchange for their attention and affection. I always seek out affection - I love head rubs, chin scratches and whatever else you'd like to lavish upon me. I'm not a pushy guy; I have manners and do not shove my other feline friends out of the way in order to get to my humans. I'll make my way over as soon as I see you, but in a gentlemanly manner. 

King Street Cats took me to their veterinarian, and we're all guessing that I am about 11 years old as of this posting in June 2015. This should NOT dissuade you from falling in love with me - it's enitrely possible that I'll live to 20 or beyond. When you meet me you won't have the slightest clue what my age is, because I'm a gorgeous and fit boy with soft, plush, silky silver fur and clear almond-shaped eyes that change from gold to green. I'm indistinguishable from a kitty who is half my age.

My friend Ophelia (she was in another of the carriers found next to mine on the doorstep) is a super-friendly tortoiseshell girl who has mastered the art of conversation (you know, "tortie talk") and soaks up human love like a sponge. Please visit her page before you leave!

Our friend Hamlet (also in another carrier on the doorstep) is a silky soft guy with jet black fur and lovely eyes. He's still shy as of this posting - it's understandable that he's trying to figure out how our lives came to change completely without warning. He is making progress every day in a quieter area of King Street Cats. He comes to greet and sniff our volunteer friends and enjoys gentle head rubs. If you have a soft spot for kitties who need some time to adjust, I encourage you to ask about him. Since he showed up with me and Ophelia, we know he must have years of experience being a family guy too.
