My name is Smiley and I arrived here in the early morning of 8-19-11 after a very-long plane ride from the island of St. Croix. I was born in mid September 2010 and was originally adopted from the St. Croix animal shelter when I was a kitten. But then I was returned because my family was moving. Gosh, if I they only knew that I was willing to travel with them and ended up flying over a thousand miles to get to a place where I could find a new home! King Street Cats has been helping the St. Croix shelter since January 2009 because the island has few adoptable homes and way too many shelter cats and dogs. So I was very lucky to be chosen to fly. I had been at the shelter since 3-30-11 and waited 5 months to get up here. So I am showing everyone how thankful I am. You're probably wondering about the photo of me with the tiara. In August, I was crowned "Queen of Carnival" which is a celebration on the island of St. Croix that the shelter participates in. So I guess that means I am Caribbean Royalty! I have the best personality. I am outgoing, friendly, loving, cuddly, I love to play, I am curious about everything, and I appreciate the little things in life (like a comfy blankie and a toy). I love dripping faucets, too. I have "the St. Croix look" about me because I have a triangular/oriental face and a slim body with long legs. Please come see me! I was adopted on 10-29-11 to a home that has a cockapoodle for me to play with!
