‘ Scuse  me…may I introduce myself?

My name is Taffy and foster mom says I am just as sweet as the candy I am named after. I am quite big for my age but I am still very much a kitten.

I love to play! I think climbing the cat tree and surveying my kingdom from the top perch is great. I don’t think there is anything better than windows…I mean you get to see the whole world!

I had a very tough start to my life, I was born outside and then when I was only a couple of months old some mean kids found me. This is what the other shelter told King Street Cats: “Taffy came to our shelter as a stray, after he was found being terrorized by neighborhood children. Because he could not be safely returned to the area, we need to get him into rescue ASAP.”

When I first came to my foster home I was very, very scared and wouldn’t let anyone touch me but there were other kittens there and that made me feel safer. I admit it took some time and patience from foster mom but I understand now that people are really nice. I like to follow foster mom and tell her about my day…as soon as I see her , I am just so happy  I start purring . I love pets and rubbing noses. I even like to be picked up and sit in her lap. Honestly though I do still get nervous around really fast movement and loud noises, but I really like to be talked to and know my name. 

Because of my past it would be best if I were in a home without a lot of commotion. It  might take me a little bit to adjust to my new home but I promise it will be worth the wait…once I am comfortable I will be the best kitty ever!
