GORGEOUS LONG-HAIRED KITTEN IS A SHY DIVA-IN-TRAINING Hello friends! My name is Sara Louise. I was born in March 2018. I was brought to a shelter in Baltimore when I was just 16 weeks old. I was a tiny little girl! I was scared and uncertain about the big world, bright lights and activity all around me. I hadn't been handled very much. My sweet nature was immediately evident, but so was my unfamiliarity with human touch. I wanted attention and affection from my shelter friends, so I would walk up and lean into them and rub on them. This felt nice. I "claimed" many new friends this way. However, when they inevitably leaned down to pet me, I would jump back in surprise. I didn't understand this movement or gesture. I would swat with my paw, but my claws never came out. A second later I would be back to my sweet little self. I'm now a more experienced kitten now and I understand that my human admirers (I have many) aren't going to hurt me, but I still haven't fully mastered the petting business. I have mastered the leaning-on-you business because I enjoy your company and your presence and I want to be with you. I am seeking a soft-spoken, patient and loving purrson who will understand that I am still coming out of my shell. I would love a quiet home without small children - I would like to be protected from anyone who's prone to come at me suddenly or make loud noises that'll scare me. With your love, I will continue to blossom. I'd also love to be your one and only! I am a little diva in training. You can see how gorgeous I am! I don't want to share you with any other animals; I want all of your attention. Maybe someday I'll want a feline friend, but for now, it's just you and me! I am already beautiful! I have long, silky hair in mocha tones. I have a tortoiseshell pattern running through my fur, but it's muted and pale. We call this a "dilute tortie," and it's a very, very appealing look. Now add to that some tabby swirls on my face and elsewhere and you have a dilute + tortie + tabby which = a dilute torbie! You'll love it, and I will happily pose for pictures. I have stunning eyes - very unique - they're a bright pewter color. At times they appear pale gold. I have a little snowy white kerchief and matching tufts around my ears, like a baby Maine coon or forest cat. (I'm the best kind of kitty though - no specific breed) If you have space in your heart and home for a beautiful, shy little girl to continue her progress in overcoming her initial fear of the big, inexplicable world, then maybe we belong together. It's easy to get started: send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Sarah Louise. Thank you so much.
