Hi friends! My name is Sam. I have one of most lovable and charming dispositions you will find in a feline friend. Yet my former family saw fit to abuse me and kick me repeatedly in the face. This is true. I found myself at a shelter in rural Maryland unsure of what my future held and not knowing who would love me.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have been welcomed into the King Street Cats family where I've been living with a fantastic foster mom who treated me like gold and showered me with love. I radiated that love right back to her and to all of my wonderful new King Street Cats volunteer friends. That's the kind of loving boy I am.

King Street Cats got me the veterinary attention I needed. I had twelve teeth removed but X-rays showed no broken bones, just severe bruising. My face and head are still a bit swollen but this does not stop me from wanting to be the center of attention in my foster home and asking everyone for treats and gentle pets. I simply love my human friends despite the way my former family mistreated me. I instinctively know that not all humans are like that.

I'm here soaking up affection and compliments from all of my new volunteer friends. They say my forever family will be incredibly lucky and happy when they bring me home. My foster mom says I am absolutely wonderful.

How's that? That makes me purrr with contentment! In fact, my purr is so happy and so strong that you can hear it through a closed door! The though of having my own human(s) and my own home -- and maybe my own feline friend(s) to play with -- sounds like my definition of a dream come true. 

I am two (2) years old, which is a wonderful age at which to adopt me. Despite what I've been through, I am young at heart and in spirit

​I'm a soft, silky boy with snowy white short fur and warm honey-colored patches. I'm wearing a little honey-colored hat, too. I love to be petted and spoken to softly and I will return the affection by nuzzling you, leaning into the head rubs and chin scratches you give me, following you around to make sure you don't get lonely, bringing you a toy so we can play, and always staying by your side to make your smile and feel special. 

I've been through what no creature should ever have to go through but I am as sweet and loving a can be. I cannot wait to share my love and affection with the purrson or family who meets me, loves me in return and gives me the home I deserve.
