SHY, SNUGGLY GIRL LOVES TO CUDDLE

Hello friends! My name is Vida. I'm a unusual honey-colored girl tabby – most kitties with my coloring are male. This is just one of the things that makes me very special. I was welcomed into the King Street Cats family from a shelter where I stood little chance of finding the forever home of my dreams.

My volunteer friends recognized my gentle nature and affectionate purrsonality hiding beneath my shy and scared exterior and they saved me! Each day they help me become more confident and tell me that a loving girl like me will find her forever home in no time. I can't wait.

I'm three (3) years old which is a wonderful young, yet more settled and "grown up" age at which to adopt your new best friend. I'm a lovely honey-colored girl with short silky fur full of tabby stripes and swirls. I have the telltale tabby "M" mark over my bright green eyes. I've got a perfect little salmon-pink nose to nudge you with.

As you can see from my photo, I was enjoying a peaceful nap in my new favorite cardboard scratch box when the paparazzi came along to take me photo. If you have cardboard boxes or bags (with the handles cut off) for me at home, I'll really enjoy those. I love to sleep in the sun and when I wake up the first thing I do is look around for a human friend. Why?

I want to snuggle, that's why! While I am still shy, I have a loving and affectionate purrsonality. I love to be petted and cuddled! I purrrr and purrrr with happiness when a gentle, soft-spoken friend at KSC comes to tell me how good and pretty I am and snuggles me quietly. There is nothing more I could ask for.

Well, there's one thing I could as for: your patience in understanding that I'll be shy at first but will continue to blossom with your love and confidence in me.

I might do well with another mellow kitty who would enjoy my company and not threaten me, or I could be your "one and only" and we could focus our attention on each other. I'll follow you around quietly and watch what you're up to and wait for you to shower me with affection. I'll be happy to see you when you come home. I'm envisioning a wonderful life as part of your family.
