PRECIOUS YOUNG GIRL WITH "BRIGHT, LOVING" PERSONALITY WILL SHOWER HER TRUSTED PERSON WITH AFFECTION, GENTLE MEOWS AND MANY, MANY PURRRRRS
Hello friends, My name is Miss Longbottom. I'm a soft, plush young girl seeking a quiet, calm home with a forever person who will enjoy my gentle, loving, unobtrusive "purrsonality" and my sweet meows, head butts and happy purrs. I had a very rough start in life but thanks to the love and support of a truly wonderful King Street Cats foster home I have come a long way and my true nature has emerged!
King Street Cats saved me. I was left in a locked moving van with 14 other cats - and we almost didn't make it. Thank goodness a motivated samaritan heard our cries and got us to a local shelter. I was completely shut down and depressed - wouldn't you be? This is where King Street Cats came in - they welcomed me into the KSC family and agreed to give me the time I needed to heal.
When I first arrived at the KSC, I was terrified and
vacillated between lashing out and cowering in a corner. I then stopped eating. At this point I went to my amazing foster home where the real magic began...
What a difference! I found myself safe, warm, loved and supported by gentle humans who understand scared kitties. And guess what?? Almost immediately I was eating up a storm, purring, exploring and head-butting my new people! You probably know that this head butting, which we call "bunting," is a cat's way of signaling acceptance of a human. We claim you as "ours" and we want to interact with you because you make us feel safe and we accept you! This is how I felt as soon as I came to know how wonderful a human could be.
It turns out that I have been a sweetheart on the inside all along! All I really wanted was a quiet place where I wasn’t shut in. I have a precious, bright and loving personality. I love head and back scritches, and I am a professional-level "bunter" (those head butts). I'm curious about other cats and I tolerate the antics of my foster mom's youngest kitty.
I can still be a bit shy – I will close to your lap but I'm not yet ready to climb in. At the moment I am not fond of being picked up. Not a surprise after all I've been through! My foster mom's belief is that these things are likely to be overcome in time as I come to trust you and we continue to build my confidence together as a team. One of my gentle volunteer friends says, "This shy girl so deserves a family of her own to give her snuggles."
I'ma young girl - born in Spring 2013 I am two (2) years old as of this posting in January 2016. I'm a warm, soft and silky kitty with snowy white fur with jet black patches. I have a cute little black spot on my pastel-pink nose and bright almond-shaped eyes that change from green to gold depending on the lighting conditions.
In return for a quiet home with love, food and a few toys, I will shower you with affection, gentle meows, purrs and head butts.
I
would do well as your "one and only" or with one or two friendly, non-aggressive cats.
I have come a long way; I only hope the distance to my forever home isn't as far.
You can easily learn more about me or arrange to meet me. Please send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Miss Longbottom. Thank you very much!
Affectionately yours,
Miss Longbottom
