I’m August, a playful kitten and Summer’s only child. The highlight of our day is when our foster mom gets home and feeds us some “Purely Fancy Feast” wet food. I go crazy meowing and trying to get to the bowl as fast as I can. In fact, my my mom eats hers in a separate room because I love it so much that I try to gobble hers too. We also get really excited at playtime. One of our favorite games is to chase the red laser pointer around the room and try to catch it. My mom used to be a hunter, and boy is she fast.
I dive in head first to new surroundings, curious about everything. Summer, my mom, is pretty mellow and even a bit wary initially of new surroundings. As the more mature one, she also gives me first dibs when I want to play with a toy. Don’t let me play with shoelaces though—that’s a different story!
I’m not sure what happened to my mom before I was born, but she only has a little stump of a tail. It looks really cute waving around as she walks. She also rarely jumps up on things like the bed or couch (unlike me, who will snuggle), but she and I like to go into our foster mom’s bedroom to greet her when her morning alarm goes off, and we like to keep an eye on our foster mom whenever she is home. I learned the hard way not to try to snuggle when she is taking a bubble bath!
