LOVING BOY WHO'S WONDERFUL IN EVERY WAY SEEKS THE HAPPINESS HE DESERVES FROM A VERY SPECIAL KIND OF PURRSON (FIV+, FeLV)

Hello friends. My name is Alex. I'm a gorgeous, silky, loving, snuggly, cheerful, playful and energetic boy in search of a forever home with another FeLV kitty or as the "one and only" cherished friend of a very special purrson who understands what my future holds and what gifts I have to offer you starting the moment we meet.

I was found wandering the streets of Washington, D.C. Clearly that is not the kind of life I am destined to lead because I possess all the desirable attributes anyone could ask for in a kitty friend. I've been living with a loving foster mom since September 2016 and she cannot speak highly enough about me!

She'll tell you that I am super handsome, fastidious about my litter box habits, and delightful in every way. I am a happy guy who appears really healthy, has been receiving the best veterinary care, has a wonderful appetite and is full of energy. 

I love to get a running start and launch myself into the lap of my purrson so that I can snuggle as closely as I possibly can. This is the kind of people-loving boy that I am. I'm friendly, gentle, easy-going and want nothing more than to spend time with you, warming your lap or snuggling in your arms. My love for you will overflow and I'll bring you wonderful companionship and many smiles. 

I've got a jet black coat of short plush fur that reveals dark chocolatey undertones in the right light. I love to snuggle, so you'll have plenty of chances to enjoy how soft and warm I am. I have bright and alert green eyes that are the color of new leaves in the spring. All in all, I am one good-looking guy!

In my photos you can see me snuggling happily on a soft blanket on the couch just waiting for my human to come join me (so I can crawl on his lap), appreciating life's fine melodies at the piano, and sitting on my human's lap as I gaze up adoringly. I am a happy and loving boy who spreads happiness and love!

Starting life on the streets poses risks. I've been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus - which is *not* the same thing as human HIV) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). FIV is transmitted through deep bite puncture wounds. Neither condition poses any risk to a human.

Many FIV+ cats coexist with non-FIV cats because FIV cannot be spread through everyday contact such as play, food bowls, litter boxes, etc. FeLV can be transmitted more readily. I would make an ideal companion for a cat who's already been diagnosed with FeLV. 

I'll need a very special purrson who understands both conditions, will establish a solid relationship with a knowledgeable veterinarian, will be vigilant about my health - and who believes that I deserve a loving home for the remainder of my life, however long that may be, We don't know my life expectancy. My friends at King Street Cats will be happy to discuss this and the details of the excellent care I've been receiving with you.

My luckiest break was to find my wonderful foster mom who's given me top-notch care and allowed me to demonstrate what a loving, affectionate, playful, energetic, neat and clean, snuggly and all-around-fabulous boy I am. I'm hopeful that my luck will continue in a forever home where you and I can love each other and add an incredibly meaningful dimension to each other's lives.
