Hello friends, my name is Toasty. I am a beautiful young tortoiseshell girl. This makes me Toasty the Tortie! I never got the memo that says torties are supposed to be divas with plenty of "tortitude," that unique tortie attitude that many of my sister torties rightfully display. Instead, I am the sweetest, nicest and most gentle little friend you could hope to find. I'm hoping that's why you're here right now - to find me, meet me, love me and take me home forever.

I'm just a year old (1). I have big bright eyes and that gorgeous palette of chocolate and honey colored fur known as the tortoiseshell coat. My foster mom has grown so fond of me and knows that I will make a beautiful, loyal and quiet friend for my lucky human. The only time I am not quiet is when it's time to eat! Otherwise, I am mellow, calm and gentle. 

I love head and chin scratches. I will roll over so you can rub my warm, silky belly with its honey-colored fur. I'll purr happily if you pick me up and hold me. I'm not a lap cat - yet - but I will welcome your affection and soak it up. I like to spend time with my human and I hope you'll want to be with me as often as you can. My foster mom says my favorite position is the one you see in my photo - rolled over and awaiting a gentle tummy rub!

I also do well if I have to be left alone for a while. I get along with my foster mom's cats. She often finds me sleeping with one - of sometimes all - of her resident cats. So far I enjoy just watching the resident cats play. The silliest and sneakiest of these cats tries to engage me in play, and I don't mind that. I could get along with your resident kitty (or kitties) or I could be fine as your one and only as long as you have plenty of time to be my friend.
