SPECIAL COURTESY POST: "PUPPY CAT" (THAT'S HOW PERSONABLE HE IS!) SEEKS FOREVER FAMILY WITH HOUSE AND YARD

Hello friends! My name is Buddy. I'm coming to you as a special courtesy posting through King Street Cats. I am a "puppy cat!"

I still live with my forever family and they love me very much - but their living circumstances have changed and they're seeking a new, loving purrson or family with a house and a yard so that I can continue to be the happiest guy that I can be. Read on!

In 2012 I found myself homeless, alone and outside in Arizona. I stumbled upon the house belonging to my family. Everything just "clicked" and I decided to stay. It was wonderful in every way. Now my family has relocated to Northern Virginia where they live not in a single family home with a nice yard for me, but in a condo where I am obliged to stare at my bird friends longingly from the balcony, walk on my leash but once a day and do my business indoors in a litter box.

I'm a free-spirited guy who needs the outdoors. Condo living does not satisfy my primal mind and nocturnal behavior. I cry at the door of my family's condo every night because I want so badly to be on the other side of it, but that's not possibly in this setting. This is why - despite loving me very much - my family has made the difficult decision to find me a new home. They want my happiness and well-being to come first and they truly believe that I need a loving family that lives in a HOUSE with a YARD who will cuddle me indoors and allow me to explore outdoors.

Let me tell you about myself, and you'll see how appropriate my name is: I was made to be your Buddy and a Buddy to your family members. I was well-known in my Arizona neighborhood as the "puppy cat." As the "puppy cat" I followed my human friends around, I would "heel" by their feet while on my leash and harness (which I am modeling for you in my photo), I would cuddle and snuggle my humans in bed, go outside in our yard to do my "business," and roam my neighborhood making the acquaintance of the neighbors. I spent the majority of my time sleeping at home inside my house with my family, but I knew that I was free to come and go indoors and outside whenever I wished.

I always followed my mom and her tiny human to the neighborhood playground. As their "puppy cat" I was constantly on the lookout for potential danger to my humans from other dogs or people. Once, I jumped into front of our tiny human to protect him from an aggressive dog - I scared the dog away! My mom was so grateful and she'll never forget that. I've been a true companion to my family, and I will be just as loyal and devoted to you and your family.

I am five (5) years old, which is a very nice age at which to bring home a new Buddy. My personality and habits have become well established, and it's clear that I was meant to be a "puppy cat" to my people and that's what I will always be.

I'm a very handsome honey-colored "orange" boy with with lovely tabby marks, stripes and swirls in my fur. I have bright green eyes that are always on the lookout to ensure the well-being of my humans. You may have heard that orange boy tabbies (most of us with this coloring are boys) are known to make the most loyal, mellow, and enjoyable companions. I live up to this legend.

My family loves me and finds this decision difficult, but they know that King Street Cats attracts quality cat lovers who adopt cats into their homes for all the right reasons. If you would like a best Buddy, a "puppy cat" to share your house, bed and yard with, we can easily arrange to meet! You'll have the benefit of meeting my family, watching me interact with them, and being able to ask any questions you may have.

In my case you'll be contacting my mom directly instead of going through King Street Cats. My mom's name is Peach Hambrick. You are invited to email her at peach_lart@yahoo.com or to call her at (480) 387-6432 . Thank you very much.

Loyally yours,
Buddy (the "puppy cat")
